Such sensationalism ignored the hard work the leads put in and trivialized the movie, she said. Later, Maggie was nowhere to be seen at a press conference for Sausalito. Wong, however, had a glib excuse at hand: he said the conference was held for Leon Lai's theme song for the film, and that Maggie's presence would have been distracting.
